This year we are not adding a program. We are learning practices the church has kept for two thousand years — the table, the word, the prayer, the fast, the examination, the gift, the silence, the sabbath — and asking what happens to a congregation that actually keeps them.
Bring the chapter, read. That is the whole preparation. Then attempt the practice before we meet again.
Come when you can. Every chapter stands on its own, and the practice matters more than the attendance. If you have read nothing, come anyway.

The study materials are for the class. Dr Speegle's book is not yet in print, so the chapters and the session pages are kept behind a class code for this congregation. He gives the code out on the first Wednesday — ask him for it, or ask at the church office.
