Giving
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
Everything Monticello United Methodist Church is able to do — worship each Sunday, the daily prayer of the church, care for the sick and the homebound, and works of mercy in our town — is sustained by the generosity of God’s people. Giving is not a fee for services; it is an act of worship and thanksgiving, a way of returning to God a portion of what he has first given us, and a share in the ministry of Christ in this place.
Ways to Give
The simplest way to give is in person during Sunday worship, when the offering is gathered as part of our service to God. You may also mail a gift to the church office, or set up regular giving by contacting the office directly. However you choose to give, every gift — large or small, one-time or ongoing — is received with gratitude and put to the work of the gospel.
